Quantum Time Machines

Design and Development

20-22 July 2022, University of San Diego

Welcome

Quantum Time Machines: Design and Development is an invitation-only conference to be convened 20-22 July 2022 at the University of San Diego. This is the fourth in a series of international symposia concerned with retrocausality, however, Time Machines will be unique both in its focus and structure.

Motivation

Motivated by recent advances in quantum mechanics, quantum gravity, computing and thermodynamics as well as other fields, this symposium will examine the theoretical and experimental aspects for a practical device capable of transferring information and/or energy from the future. The primary objectives for the attendees (<50 people) will be realized within small, subject-matter-expert working groups.

Invitees

If you have been sent an invitation, please know you have been invited not only because of your expertise and contributions to your field, but also because of your willingness to communicate across disciplines and work collaboratively toward common goals that require a diversity of perspectives. Participants include leaders from the fields of quantum mechanics, quantum computing, classical and quantum gravity, philosophy of science, consciousness in the physical world, quantum optics and thermodynamics, neuroscience, quantum biology and biophysics, and even science fiction.
